Speaker Biography
Since 2007, Jason Stokes has been the owner of the Cathedral Street Dental Practice in Norwich. In addition, he undertakes a range of other roles including Associate Postgraduate Dean for Early Years. Jason has previously worked as a Dental Foundation Training Programme Director 2000-2020), Fitness to Practice Panel Member at the GDC (2004-2013) and former member of the Council of the GDC (2014). Jason has been elected the local representative on the BDA Principal Executive Committee (PEC) and has served in that capacity since 2014. Jason also serves as the Secretary of the Norfolk LDC.
Nick is a GDP in Suffolk and is a senior Dental Professional Adviser to NHS England. He previously has worked for HEE and with NICE
Course Information:
This will be an only session delivered in person on the Thursday 8th February 2024 and Friday 9thb February 2024. Each session will run from09:30-16:30pm. There will be comfort breaks throughout and a lunch meaning the course will provide 6 CPD claimable hours per day. The session will be held in the education centre at Ipswich hospital with the exact room to be confirmed nearer the session. Invitations via email will be sent out nearer the time along with any other pre course material. Aims:
This course will review the current primary care NHS dental rules and regulations. It will examine how these affect the day to day working of dentists and their teams. The course will look at other regulations beyond the NHS that impinge on the practice of NHS dental performers. The course will also explain the monitoring techniques and activity "flags" that the NHS uses to assess performance.
