Aims:
Aims
To provide the dental team with skills to develop their verbal and non-verbal communication skills, to be able to communicate with all patients in the most appropriate way.
Course objectives
Enhance the communication skills of the whole dental team.
Discuss the difference between verbal and non-verbal communication styles, with examples.
Use examples to demonstrate effective communication styles in different scenarios.

Learning Content
Know how to recognise and respond to the different communication styles. Understand the differences between verbal and non-verbal communications.
Know the wide range of communication skills required of dental professionals. Have a clear understanding of how to communicate with deaf or hard of hearing patients.
Through achieving these outcomes, provide an improved level of service to their patients.
