 To provide an overview of the diagnosis and management of traumatic dental injuries in the primary and permanent dentition.

Course Objectives: 

During the session the course provider will: 

• Discuss the types of dental injuries that an occur in both primary and permanent dentitions in line with the IADT guidance
• Discuss the diagnosis and treatment that should be provided
• Discuss the short and long term prognosis of the injuries
  

Following the session delegates will be able to:

• Take a trauma history and be able to identify different traumatic dental injuries in both primary and permanent teeth
• Provide the necessary emergency management of these injuries in line with the up to date guidelines
• Understand the long term prognosis of these injuries
