NORO39 Level 1 Paedodontics
04 December 2023 - 22 March 2024

Information:

Oosh is a Paediatric Dental Consultant working at the Eastman Dental Hospital, University College Hospital, London and in the Community Dental Services (CDS) in Bedfordshire. She is also the Managed Clinical Network Chair for Paediatric Dentistry in the East of England and the National Lead for Mini Mouth Care Matters (Mini MCM). Mini MCM aims to empower medical and allied health care professionals to “lift the lip” and include oral health in their daily work by making every contact count.

A Trustee and board member of the Executive Committee for the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry, her primary focus is on the management of vulnerable patient groups, including those with complex medical needs. She worked for a number of years as clinical policy lead for the Office of the Chief Dental Officer for England, is a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management, and truly believes in cross-sectional working, ensuring gaps in workforce are addressed across England, where the expertise and clinical skills are taken to patients, in settings closer to their homes. She is also a firm believer in education for the whole oral health care team, utilising the skill mix of all practitioners to their maximum potential.

Aims:

"This comprehensive Level 1 consolidation course is for practitioners with a keen interest in paediatric dentistry. It aims to provide an enhanced level of knowledge and clinical skills in the management of children and young people in a primary care setting, with a view to prepare practitioners to approach a Level 2 paediatric skill set. It includes interactive lectures, case-based discussed, hands-on practical skills, and peer review sessions."
