Aims:

To give an overview of the latest Infection control and dental decontamination guidance known as HTM 01-05.

Give an overview of the CQC inspection process in relation to Infection Control and areas where dental providers experience challenges with compliance.

Learning outcomes:

Course Objectives 

During the session the course provider will:

  • To recall essential quality requirements of HTM 01-05
  • To demonstrate good hand hygiene
  • Recall the immunisation schedule for health care workers.

Learning Content

Following the session delegates will be able to:

  • Don and Doff PPE correctly
  • Understand requirements for Legionalla testing

- Speaker: Sandra Smith

- Speaker Bio: Infection Control Specialist. Sandra was employed as Dental 
Infection Control Advisor to three PCTs from 2004 – 2015. 
She is now the Director of InfectionControlSpecialists.co.uk 
and conducts practice inspections and training for NHS and 
private healthcare providers.

- Fee: Dentist=£25 and DCP & Others=£10
