Speaker: Kevin Kain 

Kevin is a principal dentist of a 3 surgery practice in Lichfield, Staffordshire.  Before he qualified as a dentist, he was a radiographer at Birmingham General Hospital for 5 years.  He started lecturing on radiography and radiology 20 years ago to maintain his interest in the subject and he enjoys all types of teaching.

Aims:

Update on latest guidance on radiation protection and the safe use of radiation in general dental practice.

Course Objectives 

  • Update on new guidance on safe use of ionizing radiation.
  • Update on Radiation protection measures for patients.
  • Update on Radiation protection measures for the dental care team.

Learning outcomes:

  • How to follow guidance on safe use of ionizing radiation.
  • How to follow guidance on safe use of ionizing radiation.
  • The latest quality assurance protocols.
