Objectives:

1. To understand when crowns and bridges are required
2. To learn a stepwise approach to clinical and radiographic assessment in treatment planning for crowns and bridges
3. To compare different designs of crowns and bridges and their individual advantages and disadvantages
4. To become familiar with preparation of teeth for crowns and bridges and appreciate the different methods for impression making and cementation of crowns and bridges
5. To be aware of the outcomes of crowns and bridges and the common reasons for failure
