TERMS & CONDITIONS

Welcome to the Health Education England (HEE) Accent Course Manager Terms and Conditions, which apply to the use of this website. By registering as a user and processing bookings you are agreeing to being bound by the following Terms and Conditions:

If you have any questions relating to these terms and conditions please Contact Us.

Terms:

We/us – Health Education England (HEE)
Organisation – HEE local office
You – user of this website

Conditions:

Registration

You guarantee that:

  1. The personal details you provide upon registration are true, accurate, current and all mandatory fields are completed.
  2. You will update editable fields within your 'My Personal Details' when any changes occur.
  3. You will notify the relevant local office immediately if you need to change your ‘Organisation’ or ‘Delegate Type’.
It is important that you keep your details up to date. If you do not, it could mean you pay the incorrect fee for an event. It could also affect the accuracy of information on any communication from us including emails, registers, name badges and certificates of attendance. It may also prevent us from trying to meet your personal requirements and/or providing you with important event information. Your help is appreciated, and we can accept no liability if your information is not up to date.

Privacy

This website is owned by Health Education England (HEE). Please refer to the Data Protection section for further information.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to revise the Terms and Conditions and/or Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time. The revised policies will supersede all previous versions.

We reserve the right to amend or cancel an event where necessary. In the event of cancellation, a full refund/transfer will be offered. We will accept no further liability.

Target Audience

Your local office may use the ‘Target Audience’ function. Where this is the case, courses and conferences have a specific target audience. Before you book a place on an event it is essential to ensure that you are eligible to attend. If you have any questions about this, or your eligibility, please contact your local office. If you book onto an event which you are not eligible to attend, your booking will be cancelled.

Fees

When booking a place on an event it is crucial to ensure you select the correct event fee, in accordance with your ‘Delegate Type’ and ‘Organisation’. Failure to do so will result in you being charged incorrectly. If you are over-charged, we will arrange a refund for the amount you have over-paid. If you are under-charged, we will request the balance.

Selected events offer fully or partially subsidised event fees. Eligibility is dependent on your ‘Delegate Type’ and/or your ‘Organisation’ at the time of the event. If you book a subsidised place whilst you are within the correct delegate type/organisation, but your delegate type/organisation changes before the event, you will no longer be eligible, and we will request any outstanding balance.

Promotions

If you book a place on an event which is later advertised at a promotional event fee (less than the amount you paid) your fee will remain, and you will not be issued a refund for any difference in the amounts.

Booking Acknowledgement

Once you have completed your booking you may be directed to an onscreen booking acknowledgement and receive an automated acknowledgment email, both of which will contain your booking details. This is because your booking may require manual processing by a course administrator from within the relevant local office. We aim to respond to all manual bookings within 24 hours. However, this can vary during periods when the volume of bookings received is higher than normal.

Requirements

Requirements (i.e. payment, proof of pre-requisite training etc.) must be fulfilled by the due date specified on the event booking. We request event fees via immediate online payment at the time of booking (see ‘Payment’ below). Any further requirements will be requested via email, and you will be informed of the due date for each outstanding requirement. If you do not respond within the timeframe provided, your booking may be cancelled and you will have to re-book, subject to availability.

Payment

If you are required to pay an event fee you will be directed to our online payment provider immediately at the time of booking. If you sign out before you reach the payment provider your booking(s) will be removed from your basket, and you will have to re-book, subject to availability. If you reach the payment provider and are unable to pay for any reason, your booking(s) will remain in your basket, to allow time for the issue to be resolved.

Please note – if you need to pay for an event, your payment and booking will be confirmed upon completion of the whole process. When you make payment, you will be directed to the payment provider to complete the transaction. You will automatically be redirected back to Accent Course Manager for confirmation that your booking is complete. If you suspect that payment has not been successful, you can do two things:

  1. Check your online bank account for a pending transaction linked to the payment you tried to make;
  2. Contact the relevant local office for further advice.

It is better to contact your local office as soon as you believe there could be a problem.

Accommodation

Selected events offer accommodation options. If the cost of the accommodation you request is fully or partially subsidised and is not required due to cancellation beyond the accommodation provider’s refund deadline, you may be asked to cover the cost.

Booking Confirmation

Once you have completed your booking you may be directed to an onscreen booking confirmation and receive an automated confirmation email, both of which will confirm your place on the event(s) you have booked.

Other bookings may be acknowledged (see ‘Booking Acknowledgement’ above) and remain ‘Pending’ confirmation, subject to fulfilment of requirements (see ‘Requirements’ above). Upon receipt of all requirements your booking will be marked as ‘Confirmed’ and a course administrator from within the relevant local office will send you a confirmation email.

Receipts

Receipts are available to view and print, via your 'My Courses and Conferences' section.

Pre-event Information

Information about the event will be available on the event booking screen and then in ‘My Courses and Conferences’ after you have processed your booking.

In some cases, pre-event information (i.e. directions to venue, programme, pre-event reading etc.) will be emailed to you in advance of the start of the event, via the email address you provide in your personal details.

Evaluations

You may be asked to complete feedback (an evaluation) after the event. These evaluations are crucial to the ongoing development of relevant, high quality courses and conferences run by HEE. We would appreciate your co-operation and support in completing a thorough evaluation of each event you attend. Receipt of your certificate of attendance (if applicable to the event) may be subject to completion of an evaluation.

Certificate of Attendance

A certificate of attendance (if applicable) will be issued following full attendance of the event and completion of the event evaluation, where applicable (see ‘Evaluations’ above). You can access these via ‘My Certificates’.

Cancellation or Non-attendance

Please refer to the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
