NOR021: Dental DWD 21/22 - How to Meet Data Protection Officer Requirements

Aims:

To ensure delegates are aware of their responsibilities as Data Protection Officers (DPO) and how they can meet these.

During the session the course provider will: 

  • Provide a clear outline of the role of a Data Protection Officer within the context of a dental practice
  • Clearly outline how to prepare a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) using a dental practice case study
  • Outline how Data Protection polices need to evolve with ongoing changes in dental practice environments

Learning outcomes:

Following the session delegates will be able to: 

  • Describe what responsibilities you have as a Data Protection Officer (DPO)
  • Explain what a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) is and how this can be prepared and reviewed within an organisation
  • Assess policies and changes in the organisation which could increase Data Protection risk

This course meets GDC Development Outcome: D


Information:

This event will be held in the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, Colney Lane, Norwich NR4 7UY. An email regarding travel, parking, timings for the day and other information will be sent to delegates on the week of the event.
