Aims:
Course Aim: The identification and safe management of the common medical emergencies that present in the dental setting.
During this session the course provider will:
- Identify the most common medical emergencies in a dental practice
- Present interventions to challenge the most common medical emergencies using equipment available in the practice
- Offer management solutions using a team-based approach to the management of medical emergencies in the dental surgery/practice
Learning outcomes:
Following this session delegates will be able to:
- Recognise and define the characteristics of the most common medical emergencies in a dental surgery/practice
- Effectively challenge a medical emergency situation and confidently evaluate and promptly take the correct action to manage or resolve the event
- Construct, develop and/or critique existing arrangements in their dental practice for managing a medical emergency

This event will be held in the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, Colney Lane, Norwich NR4 7UY. An email regarding travel, parking, timings for the day and other information will be sent to delegates on the week of the event.
