Yee Lee is a Consultant in Special Care Dentistry with an interest in Paediatric Dentistry. She works in Community Dental Services and Chair of the East of England. Managed Clinical Network.
Aims:
To provide the dental team with skills to develop their verbal and non-verbal communication skills, to be able to communicate with all patients in the most appropriate way.
Course Objectives:
During this course, the provider will: • Provide training to enhance the communication skills of the whole dental team • Explain the difference between verbal and nonverbal communication styles, with examples • Use examples to demonstrate effective communication styles in different scenarios
Learning outcomes:
Following the Session, delegates will be able to:
Recognise and respond to the different communication styles. Differentiate between verbal and non-verbal communications. Know the wide range of communication skills required of dental professionals. Through achieving these outcomes, provide an improved level of service to their patients.
