Aims:
This comprehensive Level 1 consolidation course is for practitioners with a keen interest in paediatric dentistry. It aims to provide an enhanced level of knowledge and clinical skills in the management of children and young people in a primary care setting, with a view to prepare practitioners to approach a Level 2 paediatric skill set. It includes interactive lectures, case-based discussed, hands-on practical skills, and peer review sessions.
Learning outcomes:
Urgent trauma management in the paediatric patient • Comprehensive treatment planning and clinical skills in the management of primary caries including the placement of Hall Crowns
• Timely identification and referral of significant developmental defects of the dental tissues, and disturbances of the developing dentition.
The objective of the course is that upon completion, delegates will have consolidated their Paediatric knowledge and skills that will assist the practitioner in delivering a consistent high standard of Level 1 patient care specifically in relation (but not exclusive) to: • Urgent trauma management in the paediatric patient • Comprehensive treatment planning and clinical skills in the management of primary caries including the placement of Hall Crowns • Timely identification and referral of significant developmental defects of the dental tissues, and disturbances of the developing dentition.
