Course Aims: To understand the key principles in endodontic assessment and diagnosis, and using biological approached to chemo-mechanical preparation and obturation of the root canal system. Produce predictable outcomes. 

During this session the course provider will:

•  Describe the biological rational underlying root canal treatment and how the treatment process reflects this rationale
•  Demonstrate the role of instrumentation and decontamination in successful root canal treatment
•  Describe and demonstrate the difference in efficiency in hand and rotatory canal preparation 

Following the session delegates will be able to: 

•  Recognise the biological rationale underlying contemporary root canal treatment 
•  Identify how the treatment process reflects this biological rationale 
•  Evaluate various instrumentation techniques in order to provide the most predictable outcome for patients
