Speaker Angela Heilmann
Angie commenced work as a dental nurse in 1984; she has worked in general dental practice in Scotland and England, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontics. She is currently Director of DN Education for Antwerp Dental Academy, Cambridge; this role includes providing leadership and clinical supervision to members of the dental team. In the past Angie was a DCP tutor and Dental Workforce Development (DWD) Regional Advisor for HEE. Focusing her career on dental education, has enabled her to gather knowledge and skills that is shared with awarding organisations (University of Bedfordshire & NCFE/CACHE) through consultancy work. BADN Past- President (2007-2009) NEBDN Examiner since 2003. Awarded BADN Outstanding Contribution to Dental Nursing 2010 Angie was also awarded an MBE in the 2012 New Year’s honours list for services to dental nursing.
