Information:

This masterclass provides vital training for anyone who is required to support colleagues suffering from PTSD. The content will be tailored to the specific needs of each group, with time for discussions between delegates and the opportunity for practicing skills in small groups.

The trainer uses an innovative display method which presents a pictorial representation of the masterclass material to encourage discussion among the group.

  • Traumatic incidents, typical reactions and PTSD
  • Psychosocial and mental healthcare in an NHS environment
  • Defusing and psychological first aid sessions
  • Caring for self and colleagues
  • Psychological first aid skills practice
  • Medium to longer term support
  • Managing post trauma reactions
