Biography: I am an accomplished business owner with extensive experience covering more than 35 years in the dental profession, starting my career as a Dental Nurse in general dental practice. I have a proven track record of identifying training needs and delivering interactive learning sessions aimed at developing working practices through a team based approach.
My specific interests are around assisting dental practices in maintaining quality standards, covering all aspects of functional day to day operations, in particular health and safety management. I achieve this by being an effective communicator, engaging with all disciplines and empowering individuals to take responsibility.
In order to maintain my own professional development I am a qualified health and safety practitioner and further education teacher, assessor, internal and external quality assurer of learning programmes. In addition my qualifications include leadership and management at Masters Level together with, occupational health and safety systems auditing and conflict management.
More recently I have achieved NLP practitioner status and have complimented this by studying executive coaching and mentoring at Masters Level through Bristol University (UWE).
One of my proudest accomplishments to date is being author of ‘Health and Safety Management in the Dental Practice’ published July 2010 and co-author of ‘A Handbook for Dental Nurses’ both published by Wiley-Blackwell.
