Please note this course is split over 6 days, with a mixture of 5 virtual and 1 hands-on sessions, totalling 22 hours of CPD. Delegates must attend all 6 sessions in order to receive their CPD certificate. This course is split into theory, hands-on and peer review sessions - dates for the courses and format of learning can be found below.

Level 1 Oral Surgery - Theory (virtual courses):

Level 1 Oral Surgery - Hands-On at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital: 

• 30 November 2022, AM session: 09:00-13:00 or PM session: 14:00-18:00 (note, delegates only need to attend one session either in the AM or PM - offering 4 hours hands-on time). 

Level 1 Oral Surgery - Peer Review/Evaluation: 

• 18 January 2023, 09:00-15:00 (via MS Teams)
  

Course Fee: 

The cost for this course is £290 and covers all 6 days of the course (18 hours virtual and 4 hours hands-on CPD). 

To enhance theoretical and practical understanding in Oral Surgery. 

During this session the course provider will: 

• Reinforce theory and principles of surgical procedures in oral surgery
• Enhance existent undergraduate skills in delivering surgical extractions
• To be able to perform surgical techniques in a simulated pig’s head model, including: raise a mucoperiosteal flap; undertake bone guttering; divide a tooth with a rotary instrument; deliver a tooth surgically; advance a periosteal release flap; practice a range of intra-oral suturing techniques

• Lecture series on principles of oral surgery
• Practical session in which to develop surgical skills 
• Peer review for discussion of real life cases encountered during primary care practice
