Course Aims: This course covers the management of tooth wear including dealing with aesthetics and occlusal changes.  The management includes direct and indirect materials, using Dahl to modify the occlusion, and includes the use of a variety of splints to prevent further damage as well as to treat TMD, clenching habits, bruxism.  

During this session the course provider will: 

• Provide teaching in the use of direct composite to correct aesthetic and functional occlusal problems in patients with tooth wear
• Provide teaching in the overall management of tooth wear from prevention to maintenance, including the use of splints 
• Demonstrate the appropriate use of splints 
  

Following this session delegates will be able to: 

• Identify tooth wear and understand the different approaches to localised and generalised tooth wear
• Deal with the "lack of space" question 
• Use splints appropriately
